Instructional Design With more than 20 years experience designing, implementing and evaluating training and education, Friend & Associates, Inc. offers exceptional experience and expertise in assisting clients create and customize learning within their organizations. For nearly 15 years, Dr. Friend served on the Faculty of the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education where he taught and researched best practices in educational design, delivery and assessment. At Friend & Associates, Inc. we work closely with clients to clarify learning objectives, design creative and effective methodologies to best achieve these goals, and design methods to assess application of learning back on the job. Whether learning goals are affective - designed to increase awareness and comfort; cognitive - intended to build understanding and critical thinking skills; and/or behavioral - for the purpose of improving work related skills and abilities; we have many proven resources for advancing learning in all of these domains. Understanding the needs of adult learners, the impact of learning style differences, and the need for practical application in an engaged and exciting way has contributed to our success in instructional design. We partner with clients who have internal training departments and work with these resident experts to assist in their instructional design efforts. We also work with clients who do not have these internal resources and want to take full advantage of the years of experience that our instructional designers bring to the table.
