Mary Gail Biebel, Ph.D.
Mary Gail Biebel, Ph.D. provides organizational development and training services to a wide variety of organizations. Her areas of expertise include organization assessment and design, strategic planning, change management, leadership and management development, and work system design.
Dr. Biebel is particularly interested in helping organizations:
- Plan for and implement transformational changes in their work cultures designed to improve competitiveness, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop strategies to positively impact business performance through learning, organizational development, and human resource policies.
- Design systems to build leadership and management capacity.
Dr. Biebel draws upon her experience as a Fortune 100 manager, 15 years of consulting experience, and her doctoral studies in counseling and organizational behavior. Current work includes:
- Strategic planning projects in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
- Human capital analysis projects.
- Board development for non-profit organizations.
- Development and delivery of management and supervisory training for a range of clients, including mature, established organizations and e-commerce companies.
- Helping senior managers improve their effectiveness through assessment, feedback, and coaching.
- Building collaborative work initiatives in unionized environments.
Dr. Biebel is adjunct Professor of Organization Development and Management in the
H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University, where she teaches in the Senior Executive Seminar, CIO Institute, Nonprofit Advanced Management Institute, ACPE Physician Executive Program, and Master of Medical Management Program.
