Richard Friend, Ph.D.
Dr. Richard Friend was a pioneer in the discipline of diversity consulting as it emerged in the early 1980s, and he remains a nationally recognized expert in this field. He excels at helping clients transform their organizations by embracing diversity.
Friend places diversity consulting within the larger context of increasing organizational effectiveness, and advises clients on a wide range of issues related to systemic change. His areas of expertise include:

Friend has authored many articles and book chapters. He is co-author of the seven-volume video series Diversity Dilemmas . . . and the widely acclaimed School Diversity Inventory. A former member of the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education, he led a groundbreaking diversity program for 15 years in the Philadelphia public school system.
